Pick and Place Robot  -  ABB IRB 120

The ABB IRB 120 pick and place robot is ABB’s latest and smallest addition to their new fourth generation of robotic technology. The IRB 120 is ideal for material handling and assembly applications providing an agile, compact and lightweight solution with excellent control and path accuracy.

Pick and place robot. ABB IRB 120Weighing just 25kg the ABB IRB 120 is extremely flexible and compact which enables it to be mounted virtually anywhere. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications across a multitude of industries including the electronic, food and beverage, machinery, solar, pharmaceutical, medical and research sectors.

The six-axis robot handles a payload of up to 3kg (4kg with its wrist down) and has a reach of 580mm, this allows the ABB IRB 120 to carry out a series of operations using flexible rather than hard automated solutions. Alongside its horizontal reach of 580mm the robot has the ability to reach 112mm below its base. The compact turning radius of the ABB IRB 120 ensures that it can be mounted close to other equipment.

The ABB IRB 140 is a compact, powerful and fast industrial pick and place robot. It is a six axis multipurpose pick and place robot that handles a payload of 6kg with a long reach of 810mm.

The compact size of the IRB 140 means that it can be floor mounted, inverted or wall mounted at any angle. To compliment this, the IRB 140 has a uniquely extended radius of working area due to back bend mechanism of upper arm and axis 1 rotation of 360 degrees even as wall mounted.

With foundry Plus 2, Clean Room and Wash down versions as well as having all mechanical arms completely IP67 protected available as standard makes the ABB IRB 140 extremely easy to integrate in different industries and suitable for a variety of applications.

The ABB IRB 140 is the fastest robot of its class, offering considerably reduced cycle times thanks to high top speed and acceleration combined with the unique ABB motion control, QuickMove.
