This is a challenging and exciting career opportunity for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer with with a proven track record in programming and commissioning  PLC and HMI systems in the industrial automation sector. This position is based near Southampton, Hampshire with some visits to customer sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

As member of the Electrical Engineering Team you will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be involved in  all aspects of the Electrical Controls throughout the project cycle from concept design through to installation, including PLC, HMI and robot programming, commissioning and installation. This position is based at our premises in Southampton but also involves on site pass off and commissioning at customer's sites throughout the UK.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

It is essential that you have a highly relevant degree/HNC or equivalent electrical engineering qualification that provides a solid foundation in the principles of Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 3-5 years Machine Control Systems experience gained within the Industrial Automation sector.

You will have a solid Electrical Engineering background with knowledge of current electrical regulations and working practices. Your experience should include the following;
RSLogix 5000 (including CompactLogix, ControlLogix processors)
RSLogix 500 (SLC500)
RSNetworx for Device-net
Mitsubishi GX Developer
Siemens Simatic Manager
Proface (GP-Pro EX) AGP Series
Proface (C Package 03) GP Series
E-Designer
ProTool

Experience of AutoCAD, welding technologies and/or 6-axis robots would be a distinct advantage.
