This is a challenging and exciting career opportunity for an Electrical Controls Design Engineer with experience of Electrical Design and Commissioning of controls for industrial automation equipment. This position is based near Southampton, Hampshire with some visits to customer sites throughout the UK.

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 plus paid overtime and annual profit related bonus

Key Responsibilities

You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for the Electrical Detailing of automation equipment controls using AutoCAD Electrical along with plc software, robot programming and commissioning. This position is based at our premises in Southampton but also involves programming and commissioning at customer's premises throughout the UK.

Required Skills and Experience

It is essential that you have a minimum a 2 years' design experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferably with some welding or handling process knowledge. Experience of either, plc software, 6-axis robot programming or good practical hands on electrical engineering skills would be a distinct advantage but is not essential. You should be proficient in either AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office and also be a excellent team player with good communication skills. You also need to be customer focused and commercially aware.
