Twin station robot system with opposite operating stations

This robot system configuration is suitable for medium to large components. The rotating positioner at each station is harmonised with the robot movement allowing the components to be rotated and welded at the same time. The layout of the robot system optimises the use of the robot working area but requires the operator to walk from station to station making the robot system most suitable for components with relatively long cycle times. As the cell doors open an arc glare curtain is pulled across to protect the operator from arc glare from the opposite station.
